Adam Lamotte

Adam is our Artistic Director and is well known to audiences throughout the country as a leader of both period and modern ensembles. This is Adam’s 22nd year with the Montana Baroque Music Festival (MBMF).

matthias mautte

Matthias is a two times JUNO Award winning conductor, composer, recorder and flute soloist and has achieved an international reputation. This is his 17th year with the MBMF.

gregory ewer

Gregory, hailed by The New York Times for his “refinement and spirit,” has been a member of the Oregon Symphony since 2001. This is his 19th year with the MBMF.

 

joanna blendulf

Joanna is Professor of Music in Baroque cello/Viola da gamba at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. She is principal cellist and viola da gamba player of the Portland Baroque Orchestra and the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra and has also performed as principal cellist of Pacific MusicWorks, Pacific Baroque Orchestra, American Bach Soloists, and Apollo’s Fire. This is Joanna’s 17th year with the MBMF.

sophie lariviere

Sophie has been a member and co-artistic director of Ensemble Caprice since 1997. This is Sophie’s 12th year with the MBMF.

andrew harmon

Andrew is a double bass performer and teacher in the Portland area where he plays with the Portland Baroque Orchestra, Portland Chamber Orchestra, Yakima Symphony, Symphony Tacoma, Oregon Bach Festival, 45th Parallel Universe and Amadeus Chamber Orchestra among other ensembles. This is Andrew’s 6th year with the MBMF.

 

Reynaldo Patino

Reynaldo enjoys performing with Portland Baroque Orchestra and other pacific northwest groups. This will be his first appearance with the MBMF.

 

daniel swenberg

Daniel plays a wide variety of lutes and guitars: baroque, renaissance, classical/romantic, small, medium, and large.  Chief among these is the theorbo-- the long lute that you are either wondering about or overhearing your neighbor discuss. He plays with myriad groups and is artistic director of the Dryden Ensemble in Princeton, NJ. He is on faculty at Juilliard’s Historical Performance program. This is Daniel’s 1st year with the MBMF.
